Benfica midfielder Gedson Fernandes has reportedly been offered to Tottenham Hotspur in this transfer window.
The Portugal international is represented by agent Jorge Mendes, who has close links with fellow countryman Jose Mourinho.
West Ham United are also said to have keen interest in Fernandes, holding talks with the Primeira Liga side earlier this week.
However, according to The Guardian, Spurs have been handed the chance to do a deal for the 21-year-old.
The North London side find themselves in the middle of an injury crisis, with Harry Kane and Moussa Sissoko both sidelined with long-term injuries.
Fernandes has also been linked with transfers to Manchester United, Lyon and Everton over the past few weeks.
