Manchester United reportedly have a "genuine" interest in signing Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez during this summer's transfer window to ease their left-back concerns.
Luke Shaw was restricted to just 15 appearances in all competitions last season due to various muscular problems, while Tyrell Malacia did not play at all in 2023-24 due to a knee injury which required two separate operations.
Last month, Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag admitted that Shaw "will never be able to play 60 games in a year" due to the severe leg injury which he suffered back in 2015.
Man United are said to be concerned about the left-back spot heading towards next season, with Victor Lindelof, Sofyan Amrabat, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot all operating in that area of the field last term.
The 20-time English champions have three priorities in the summer market - a centre-back, a central midfielder and a centre-forward, but a new left-back could also potentially arrive.

Man United 'keen' on Kerkez deal
Kerkez was linked with Man United earlier this summer, with the 20-year-old impressing for Bournemouth last season following his arrival from AZ Alkmaar.
The defender started his professional career with Gyor before making the move to AZ, and he represented the Dutch team on 57 occasions ahead of his move to Bournemouth.
Kerkez was in action for Hungary at Euro 2024, meanwhile, starting all three of their Group A fixtures with Switzerland, Germany and Scotland, and he could now potentially earn a high-profile move this summer.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Man United's interest in the Hungarian is "genuine", although he is not the only option being considered by the Premier League giants.

Kerkez impressed for Bournemouth last season
"Manchester United's interest is genuine, so I think Kerkez could be one of the options, but not the only one from what I have heard," Romano told GIVEMESPORT.
"They are also assessing other options. I think they're waiting to see what happens with any other opportunities in the market for that position, and they they will make a decision. But left-back is another position they want to cover for this summer, for sure."
Kerkez made 28 Premier League appearances for Bournemouth last season, contributing one assist in the process, and he impressed in both of his side's fixtures against Man United.
Man United are advancing on a deal for Bayern Munich's Matthijs de Ligt, while Bologna's Joshua Zirkzee and Paris Saint-Germain's Manuel Ugarte could also potentially move to Old Trafford this summer.
Any further incomings are likely to be dependent on outgoings, and a departure for Wan-Bissaka, who is being linked with Everton and Barcelona, could open the door for Kerkez to arrive.
