Bruno Gomes targets success with Manchester United

Desportivo Brasil youngster Bruno Gomes targets success ahead of a proposed move to Manchester United.

Desportivo Brasil youngster Bruno Gomes has admitted that he is desperate to complete a move to Manchester United.

The 16-year-old has been training with United's academy side ahead of a switch to England, although it is understood that a number of European clubs have registered an interest.

However, United's partnership with the Brazilian club has moved them into pole position and the player has spoken fondly about a meeting Sir Alex Ferguson.

"My goal is to become top scorer in the league, being the first Brazilian to do so, while also to be English champion and to win the Champions League," he told reporters.

"It was nice. [Ferguson] is a legend in Manchester, where everybody respects him and to be close to him was great. In fact, he only asked about my position and if I spoke English. Then he talked with the club representative who took me to Manchester."

Gomes has also played for Corinthians.
