Red Bull Salzburg forward Erling Braut Haaland has reportedly encouraged Manchester United to up their interest in his signature.
Having previously worked with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Molde, Haaland is known to be a priority target for United ahead of the January window.
The pair allegedly held talks last week, a development which has only increased speculation regarding a potential reunion for the Norwegian duo.
According to The Athletic, the 19-year-old has indicated that he would welcome an official approach from the Premier League giants.
Despite a previous claim from Haaland that he would stay at Salzburg until the summer, it appears increasingly likely that he will move to a bigger club at the start of 2020.
RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund are also regarded as major contenders to sign the prospect.
