Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway insists that his side won't make an approach to sign Wilfried Zaha on loan as he feels that the youngster deserves his chance at Manchester United.

Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway has denied that he will try to loan Wilfried Zaha from Manchester United this season.

The 20-year-old was signed by the Red Devils in January but was immediately loan back to the Eagles for the rest of their Championship campaign.

Despite Holloway's side winning promotion to the Premier League, he has stated that he won't approach United as he feels that Zaha deserves a chance at Old Trafford.

Holloway told talkSPORT: "I don't think for one minute I'd ever consider asking David Moyes right now. I don't think it's fair to the boy. He's got to have a go at Man United.

"I'm sure I know Moyes that well that if there was a club in the Premier League that Wilfried Zaha wanted to play for, if it wasn't Manchester United, I'm sure it would be us, so I'm sure the phone would ring.

"But, let's be perfectly honest, I think the boy is so exciting he's going to have a chance at Man United and I can see him getting in their first team and I genuinely mean that."

Zaha scored eight goals in 50 appearances for Palace last season.
