Manchester United reportedly learn the asking price of Switzerland and Bologna attacker Dan Ndoye as they weigh up whether to make a summer move.

Manchester United have reportedly been made aware of Bologna's asking price for Switzerland international Dan Ndoye.

The Red Devils are already on the verge of signing one Bologna player after reaching an agreement over a deal for Dutch forward Joshua Zirkzee.

Man United will pay over €40m (£33.6m) to recruit the 23-year-old striker, who will sign a long-term contract until at least 2029.

Once they have confirmed Zirkzee's arrival, the Red Devils will quickly turn their focus to their other transfer targets, which could see them pursue a move for another Bologna attacker.

A recent report claimed that the Premier League giants had made contact with the Italian side to discuss a potential transfer for Ndoye.

Man United learn Ndoye valuation

Ndoye's agent Fahd Adamson recently confirmed that Man United are interested in signing his client this summer.

Adamson told Blick: "It is good that Man United are interested in Dan, and it is somehow logical as well. Man United belong to INEOS, and Dan has already played for the other INEOS-owned clubs in Nice and Lausanne.

"He received countless WhatsApp messages from English clubs after the quarter-final against England. Let's see what emerges from them. We must discuss Dan's future with him and his family. We need to weigh things up well, to prevent him making the wrong career move."

According to journalist Manuel Minguzzi, Bologna will demand around £25m to £30m to part ways with the 23-year-old this summer.

However, there is a belief that the Serie A club will be reluctant to sell Ndoye, with Zirkzee and Arsenal-bound Riccardo Calafiori poised to leave the club this summer.

Vincenzo Italiano, who has replaced Thiago Motta, will not want to lose another key player, especially as he is said to be an admirer of Ndoye.

Why is Ndoye a Man United target?

The attacker is being linked with a move away from Bologna just one year after joining the Serie A club from Basel.

Ndoye, who can play on either flank, made 34 competitive appearances during his first season in Italy, contributing two goals and two assists.

However, rather than his displays at club level, it has been his performances on the international stage that have garnered plenty of attention.

Ndoye was one of Switzerland's standout performers at Euro 2024, starting all five matches before his country experienced penalty-shootout heartbreak in the quarter-finals against England.
