Inter Milan have reportedly shown the most interest in Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil.
With less than a year remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium, a number of clubs are allegedly keen on the playmaker, who has shown little desire to sign a new deal with the Gunners.
Manchester United have been linked with a move for the German international but according to the London Evening Standard, Inter are currently in pole position for the player.
While the Italian giants are able to hold discussions with Ozil as soon as January, it has been suggested that United are yet to make any formal approach for a player who has contributed 23 goals and countless assists in 121 league appearances for Arsenal.
Inter president Erick Thohir has previously revealed that Ozil is considered to be a January target, with Arsenal potentially willing to sell him midway through the season and receive a fee for his signature rather than the former Real Madrid man becoming a free agent.
Turkish giants Fenerbahce have also been credited with an interest in Ozil.
