Inter Milan are reportedly contemplating whether to launch bids for Manchester United forward Anthony Martial and Chelsea forward Armando Broja.

Manchester United forward Anthony Martial and Chelsea forward Armando Broja have reportedly emerged as potential transfer targets for Inter Milan.

Last season's Champions League finalists can claim to be enjoying an excellent campaign, particularly due to sitting at the top of the Serie A standings.

Simone Inzaghi's side sit four points clear of Juventus, helped by conceding just seven goals but also courtesy of 41 goals being scored in 17 matches.

A large chunk of those have been contributed by three players, with Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram and Hakan Calhanoglu chipping in with 29 strikes between them.

However, Inter have not got what they have hoped for from Marko Arnautovic and Alexis Sanchez, with the veterans being reduced to a start apiece and a combined total of 15 substitute appearances.

Arnautovic has not been helped by suffering an injury during the first half of the campaign, yet it appears that Inter officials have concerns over handling the schedule until the end of the campaign.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter have a number of alternative attacking options in their mind for January onwards.

Martial and Broja are each said to feature on that shortlist courtesy of their respective situations at Man United and Chelsea respectively.

While Martial has been provided with seven starts and 12 substitute outings in all competitions, he has contributed just two goals this campaign, and United appear against activating an option to extend the Frenchman's contract until 2025.

In the case of Broja, his game time has needed to be partially managed due to his recovery from a serious knee injury and then having a separate issue in the opposite knee.

The Albania international has still made four starts and eight substitute appearances, yet his only strike was a fortuitous one in a win over Fulham in October.

Chelsea would only consider a loan bid for Broja, should they acquire a replacement, but Inter seemingly have other players on their radar.

Porto's Mehdi Taremi is said to be in Inter's sights as a free agent next summer, although they would willingly negotiate a cut-price deal in January, while Atalanta BC frontman Luis Muriel could also emerge as an option.
