Inter Milan: 'No offers for Arsenal target Ivan Perisic'

Inter Milan chief executive Giuseppe Marotta admits that it will be difficult to keep wantaway Arsenal target Ivan Perisic, but insists that there have been no offers.

Inter Milan chief executive Giuseppe Marotta has insisted that there have been no offers for rumoured Arsenal target Ivan Perisic.

Perisic is understood to have handed in a transfer request at San Siro, but Inter reportedly want a bid of at least £35m for the 29-year-old.

Marotta admitted that it would be "difficult" to resist advances from other teams due to Perisic's desire to leave the club, but claimed that there have as yet been no approaches for the Croatia international.

"It is difficult to keep players that don't want to stay but no offer has arrived yet so therefore the prerequisite for a transfer simply isn't there," he told Sky in Italy.

"This also happens at other teams, I am a supporter of a restrictive transfer window, but with the fact that it closes on the 31st, a lot of players wish to leave their clubs."

Perisic has also been linked with a move to Manchester United in the past, although the Red Devils are no longer thought to be interested in the attacker.
