Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Vitor Pereira is hopeful that his club will be able to keep hold of Matheus Cunha in January amid the growing speculation surrounding his future.
Cunha, 25, has been one of the best performers in the Premier League during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring 10 goals and registering four assists in 18 appearances in the top flight of English football.
The Brazilian was outstanding against Man United on Thursday, scoring and providing an assist in Wolves' 2-0 win, while he also completed four successful dribbles and won four tackles in his team's impressive success.
Man United are believed to be keen on Cunha, while Arsenal are said to be lining up a January move, with Wolves facing a very difficult task when it comes to keeping hold of the versatile attacker.
However, Pereira is hopeful that his side will be able to resist any mid-season offers for the South American.

"In my opinion he's a player who can reach high standards in this league," Pereira told Amazon Prime.
When asked Cunha could join another club in January, Pereira said: "I hope not, I hope not because we need him. Of course (we need to keep him), I agree with you. We need his quality."
Cunha's Wolves teammate Jorgen Strand Larsen was also full of praise for the Brazilian after the clash with Man United.
"I tell him during the game like how good he is every time because he needs to hear that. He's an amazing player, I think one of the best I've ever played with. He's just so good, hopefully we can keep hold of him for a long time," he added.
"He has the confidence, I like to build people up, we have a good feeling, I have a good relationship with him, I'm more of a big man with the ball on my chest, and he's the Brazilian magic. Amazing guy, amazing football player."

Will Cunha leave Wolves in January?
Cunha has been outstanding for a Wolves outfit that have largely struggled this season, but the team have now won their last two matches against Leicester and Man United.
Considering the real threat of relegation, it is incredibly difficult to imagine Cunha being allowed to leave in January, unless a club comes up with a substantial offer, so the Brazilian is set to finish the campaign at Molineux.
A departure next summer looks likely, though, with the attacker boasting an excellent record of 26 goals and 13 assists in 75 appearances for Wolves, and it would not be a surprise to see him at either Man United or Arsenal during the 2025-26 campaign.
