Roma manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen to strike a deal for Manchester United youngster Charlie Wellens.
The 19-year-old - who is comfortable at right-back or in the middle of the park - is yet to make his debut for the senior Red Devils side despite impressing at youth level.
Mourinho oversaw Wellens's development during his time in the Old Trafford dugout, with the teenager taking part in first-team training sessions under the Portuguese.
With Wellens having to compete with Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka for the right-back spot at Man United, The Sun claims that Mourinho is hoping to lure him to Roma.
However, the report adds that Tottenham Hotspur are also keeping a close eye on developments, while Inter Milan were credited with an interest last year.
Wellens has scored one goal and set up four more in 14 Premier League 2 appearances for Man United's Under-23s this term and also played every minute of their short-lived 2021-22 EFL Trophy campaign.
