Juventus sporting director Federico Cherubini has flown to London for talks with Arsenal over a possible move for Gabriel Magalhaes, according to a report.

The 24-year-old has enjoyed a productive season at the Gunners this season, making 34 Premier League appearances to help his side to fifth place in the race for the top four at the time of writing.

However, Tuttosport are reporting that Juventus see the Brazilian as the ideal replacement for the departing veteran Giorgio Chiellini, and that Cherubini has travelled to England to discuss a potential deal.

The report outlines how Mikel Arteta's side would demand at least €50m (£42m) for the defender, who joined the club for around £27m from Ligue 1 side Lille back in September 2020.

Although the asking price could prove a stumbling block, it is reported that Juventus players could be sent in the opposite direction to force through a deal, including midfielder Arthur, who was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal back in January.

Meanwhile, another reported reason for Cherubini's trip to London is for talks over the potential return of Paul Pogba to Turin this summer, with the Frenchman's contract at Manchester United expiring in June.
