Juventus have reportedly cooled their interest in Manchester United centre-back Chris Smalling.
The Englishman joined Roma on loan from United last summer and has impressed for the Italian giants during the 2019-20 campaign, making 25 appearances in all competitions.
Smalling's form had allegedly attracted Juve's attention ahead of the summer transfer window, but according to Calciomercato, the Old Lady have now distanced themselves from the defender.
The report claims that the Italian champions are not prepared to spend £11m on a player who will be 31 this year, seemingly placing Roma in pole position should United agree to a sale.
The former Fulham youngster was deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford ahead of the current season following Harry Maguire's arrival from Leicester City.
Paris Saint-Germain's Presnel Kimpembe has now reportedly emerged as a potential target for Maurizio Sarri's side, who won the race for the in-demand Matthijs de Ligt last summer.
