Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta has admitted that the Italian club are firmly in the running to sign Arsenal striker Robin van Persie.
The prolific frontman is expected to leave the Emirates this summer after revealing that he does not plan to sign a new contract with the North London outfit.
Juventus have been touted as a potential destination, however, Premier League duo Manchester City and Manchester United have also been linked with big-money moves for the Netherlands international.
"Van Persie is a fans' dream," said Marotta. "Everyone has dreams but then you have to confront this with the reality. We know what we have to do, and that is the important thing."
Recent reports have suggested that former English champions United are confident that they can secure the striker.
