Juventus are hoping to pair up Robin van Persie with Luis Suarez next season.

The Italian giants aim to lure Arsenal's Dutch striker to Serie A, and want him to play up front alongside the Liverpool star.

Suarez is under contract at Anfield until 2016, and Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has already held preliminary talks with the player about extending his stay.

However, Juventus are hoping to convince them to part with the Uruguayan in a deal worth £28m, reports BBC Sport.

The club has already had an initial offer for Van Persie turned down, but are said to be confident of securing his service with a revised bid.

Juventus face stuff competition for the striker from Manchester City and Manchester United, who have also had an offer rejected.
