Juventus reportedly turn down the chance to sign unsettled Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, with the Old Lady more interested in his teammate Joshua Zirkzee.

Juventus have reportedly rejected the chance to sign unsettled forward Marcus Rashford, with the Old Lady more interested in bringing in his Manchester United teammate Joshua Zirkzee.

Rashford has been left out of Man United's last four matchday squads and is widely expected to leave Old Trafford in January, with the England international recently expressing a desire to seek pastures new.

According to The Sun, Juventus were recently contacted to discuss Rashford, but the Turin giants made it clear that they would not be interested in signing the Red Devils academy product at this moment in time.

However, the report claims that Juventus are keen on Zirkzee, with the Netherlands international also being heavily linked with a departure ahead of the winter transfer window.

Zirkzee has scored just four times in 26 appearances for Man United this term and could return to Serie A in 2025, with Inter Milan and Napoli also believed to be interested in the ex-Bologna forward.

Juventus 'want Zirkzee rather than Rashford'

Rashford's wages, which are in excess of £300,000 a week, are believed to have put off a number of clubs, with Barcelona and Real Madrid said to have also rejected the chance to sign him.

"It's always the same reason it's going to be," Amorim told Amazon Prime Video when asked about Rashford following the 2-0 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Thursday night.

"We have to be the same professionals, the same guys, winning or losing. Losing, I have to be stronger. I will continue with my idea until the end. If he's not here, you can make your mind up."

Rashford was originally left out of the squad for the Manchester derby due to some underwhelming displays in training, while his general behaviour around the club's training complex was also called into question.

The forward then gave an interview to journalist Henry Winter where he signalled a willingness to try "a new challenge".

Will Rashford, Zirkzee leave in January?

Zirkzee is currently involved for Man United, and despite his struggles, it would be a surprise to see the Dutchman leave in the winter window due to the team's lack of options in that area of the field.

Indeed, unless a replacement can be signed, which will be very difficult in the January market, then Zirkzee is likely to complete the season at Old Trafford before his future is discussed.

However, Rashford is seemingly heading for a mid-season exit, with Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid among the European clubs said to be keen, while there is also believed to be interest from the Saudi Pro League.

Man United are not thought to be willing to sanction a cut-price transfer, though, with the 20-time English champions believed to value Rashford in the region of £50m despite his ongoing struggles.
