Manchester United will reportedly fail with any approach for Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
Having starred for the Lilywhites and England over the past 15 months, the 25-year-old is now regarded as one of the best players in his position in Europe.
Man United, who are keen to strengthen in the middle of the pitch, have inevitably been linked with a future approach for the player.
However, according to the Daily Star, Phillips will reject any bid, likely to be in the region of £60m, from Old Trafford to honour his relationship with his boyhood club.
The report suggests that Phillips is wary of any backlash that he or his family may receive for moving one of the club's biggest rivals.
Phillips still has over two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract at Elland Road, and the Leeds hierarchy want to agree fresh terms as soon as possible.
