Nemanja Vidic is "happy" to stay for another season at Manchester United, according to the defender's former Serbian teammate Mateja Kezman.
The 32-year-old's future at Old Trafford has been called into question as the centre-back is yet to sign a new deal with the North-West outfit, despite his current terms expiring at the end of the season.
Reports emerged that Vidic had signed a pre-contract with Galatasaray, but those rumours were swiftly denied by the player's agent Silvano Martino.
"Nemanja Vidic is top and player and big friend of mine," Kezman told talkSPORT. "I spoke to him a few months ago and he said then that he was waiting to see what will happen with his contract.
"He's not unhappy. He's been there for years and would like to stay for another season. He loves the club, the city, the fans, everybody."
Vidic has been a United player since 2006.
