Kalidou Koulibaly reportedly intends to remain at Napoli until the end of the season, despite widespread interest in his signature.

Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly has allegedly accepted that he will remain with the Serie A outfit until the end of the season.

Over the past 18 months, the centre-back has been heavily linked with a move elsewhere, including Manchester United who are known to want to strengthen the middle of their defence.

Earlier this month, it was suggested that the Premier League giants are eager to conclude a deal for the Senegal international at some point during 2020.

However, The Sun claims that there is no prospect of a late transfer occurring this week, with Napoli wishing to keep hold of their most prized asset for the second half of the campaign.

While the 28-year-old has previously been valued at £100m, United or any other interested club may be able to sign him for slightly less than that figure in the summer.

Nevertheless, Koulibaly still has three-and-a-half years remaining on his contract.
