Paul Lambert yet to decide on Cameron Borthwick-Jackson

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Paul Lambert reveals that he will make a decision on whether to keep Manchester United loanee Cameron Borthwick-Jackson next month.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Paul Lambert has revealed that he is yet to decide on the future of Manchester United loanee Cameron Borthwick-Jackson.

The 19-year-old defender joined the Championship side on a season-long loan in August but has yet to feature under Lambert, who took the reins at Molineux last month following Walter Zenga's swift dismissal.

United have the right to recall Borthwick-Jackson during the transfer window and added the youngster to their Europa League squad list a fortnight ago, leading to speculation that he could be back at Old Trafford in short order.

"Cameron's obviously on loan here and hasn't really featured under me, just because I felt we needed a bit more experience," Lambert told the Wolves website. "He's a young lad, a tidy and nice footballer and he's got to fight his way to get into the side. But he never lets himself down in training. He trains well.

"Come January, Kevin Thelwell (sporting director) and myself will start to get the squad we think can help. There's been no official decision on Cameron and won't be for another few weeks."

Wolves are currently 20th in the Championship table, two points above the relegation zone and 10 points off the playoffs.
