Former Arsenal defender Lauren has urged Aaron Ramsey to consider a move to London rivals West Ham United at the end of the season.
The Wales international is to depart the Emirates Stadium next summer when his contract expires, having seen the offer of a new deal withdrawn by the club.
Bayern Munich are considered the frontrunners to land Ramsey, while Juventus and Manchester United have also been tipped to make a move for the soon-to-be free agent.
Lauren believes that the 27-year-old could do worse than move across the English capital to another Premier League club, however, telling Sky Sports News: "He wants to play. The club are looking at other ways but as a player you have to find your own way.
"If you don't have the first-team shirt you have to go elsewhere. If I was him I would stay in London because he knows the city.
"Somewhere like West Ham would fit him. It would give him the leadership he needs and he is based in London so I think he has to stay at a London club."
Ramsey joined Arsenal from Cardiff City in 2008 and is their longest-serving player.
