Celtic boss Neil Lennon has refuted speculation linking him with a summer move for Manchester United striker Federico Macheda.
The Italian's agent made headlines earlier in the week after talking up the Scottish giants' interest in his client, but Lennon says that he is content with his current strikeforce.
"There is nothing in that story at all," the Northern Irishman told Sky Sports News. "We have been aware of his availability over previous transfer windows but have not pursued that. You never say never but it is just wild speculation at the minute.
"Striker is always a priority position but at the minute we have very good players in that position: Leigh Griffiths is just in the door and is really settling in well."
The 22-year-old is currently on loan at Championship outfit Birmingham City.
