Manchester United interim head coach Ralf Rangnick has reportedly 'given his blessing' for Jesse Lingard to leave the club on loan before the transfer deadline.
The England international's future has been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks, with a number of clubs thought to be competing for his signature.
Lingard's contract at Old Trafford is due to expire at the end of June, and he is allegedly keen to leave on loan this month to ensure that he receives regular football in the build up to the 2022 World Cup.
According to ESPN journalist Rob Dawson, Rangnick has now given the green light for the playmaker to depart the club ahead of the transfer deadline.
Dawson claims that Newcastle United are still in the running for Lingard, while there has been 'fresh contact' from West Ham United, who had him on loan for the second half of last season.
The 29-year-old has scored twice and registered one assist in 14 appearances for the 20-time English champions during the 2021-22 campaign.
