Liverpool are reportedly among three Premier League clubs interested in FC Nordsjaelland full-back Daniel Svensson.
Reds boss Arne Slot can currently call upon Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas as the two main options for the left side of his defence.
Robertson has been Liverpool's first-choice left-back for a number of years, but some of his recent performances have drawn criticism from some quarters.
As a result, Robertson has seen his place come under threat from Tsimikas, who has started two of Liverpool's last three matches in all competitions.
With Robertson set to turn 31 in March, Liverpool expert David Lynch recently implored the club to sign a potential long-term successor in 2025.

Liverpool among Premier League giants chasing Svensson
According to TEAMtalk, the Reds are keeping tabs on Svensson after identifying the Nordsjaelland defender as a potential transfer target.
The report claims that Liverpool scouts have been left 'seriously impressed' with what they have seen from the Sweden international.
However, Liverpool are not the only top Premier League club tracking Svensson's progress, with Arsenal and Manchester United both said to be showing an interest in the 22-year-old.
Arsenal are seemingly open to bolstering their left-back options which include Jurrien Timber, Riccardo Calafiori and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Meanwhile, Man United are keen to strengthen an area of a pitch that has become problematic due to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia's injury issues.

Who is the highly-rated Svensson?
Svensson started out his career with Swedish side Brommapojkarna, before he completed a move to Nordsjaelland in the summer of 2020.
The full-back has gone on to make 151 competitive appearances for the Danish side, contributing to their attacking efforts with eight goals and 20 assists.
Svensson has showcased his versatility throughout his career, having proven he can operate as a full-back, a wide midfielder and in a central role in the middle of the park.
The Nordsjaelland man has predominately been used as a left-back during his 15 appearances in the Danish Superliga this season.
After impressing for his club side, Svensson was given the opportunity to make his international debut as a late substitute in Sweden's 3-0 win over Estonia in last month's UEFA Nations League clash.
Svensson has been included in Jon Dahl Tomasson's squad for the upcoming Nations League fixtures against Slovakia and Azerbaijan.
