Liverpool are reportedly behind Manchester City and Chelsea in the race to sign Erling Braut Haaland as they are reluctant to match the Borussia Dortmund striker's asking price.
The Reds are thought to have held talks with Haaland's entourage over a possible summer move, along with the likes of City, Chelsea, Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
According to Football Insider, however, those discussions may not advance any further as Liverpool are not prepared to pay in excess of £100m for the Norway international.
That type of figure is not expected to be any sort of problem for Chelsea, though Man City have already declared that they are not looking to spend big this summer.
Haaland has scored 53 goals in 56 appearances for Dortmund since arriving from Red Bull Salzburg in January 2020.
The 20-year-old has a €75m (£65m) release clause that comes into play next year, but agent Mino Raiola recently hinted that a transfer could possibly happen in the upcoming window.
