Nuno Mendes is reportedly set to remain with Paris Saint-Germain, with a new contract expected to be signed in the near future.
There has been a host of speculation surrounding the Portugal international's future in recent weeks, with Manchester United believed to have identified the left-back as a leading transfer target.
Mendes played under Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim at Sporting Lisbon, and it had been claimed that the 22-year-old was the English club's first choice for the left-sided wing-back position in a 3-4-3 formation.
However, according to L'Equipe, the situation has now changed, with Mendes closing the door on an exit, and it is understood that he could sign a new contract with the capital giants in the near future.
The report claims that PSG head coach Luis Enrique has been crucial in convincing Mendes to stay in Paris.
Mendes' current deal is due to expire in the summer of 2026, but it believed that a fresh deal could be signed in the near future, with Man United therefore set to explore alternative options in the market.

Mendes has again been a vital player for his French club during the 2024-25 campaign, making 19 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals and registering two assists in the process.
Wolverhampton Wanderers' Rayan Ait-Nouri is believed to be a genuine target for the Red Devils, with the Morocco international another wing-back specialist, and he is likely to leave Molineux this summer.
The 23-year-old has made 138 appearances for Wolves, scoring 11 goals and registering 13 assists in the process, while he has four goals and five assists in 22 outings in all competitions during the 2024-25 campaign.
Ait-Nouri's contract at Molineux is due to expire in the summer of 2026, but Wolves crucially have the option to extend his deal for a further 12 months, placing them in a strong position when it comes to his future.

Ait-Nouri, Kerkez 'alternatives' for Man United
Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez has also been linked with a switch to Old Trafford, with the Hungary international another player who has impressed in the Premier League during the 2024-25 campaign.
The 21-year-old has scored twice and registered three assists in 23 appearances for the Cherries this term, including a goal in Bournemouth's 4-1 success over Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon.
Kerkez has a contract at the Vitality Stadium until June 2028, having penned a five-year deal upon his arrival in July 2023.
Liverpool are also believed to be admirers of the left-back, though, and Bournemouth are pushing for Champions League football for the 2025-26 campaign, so it will be far from a straightforward deal for the Hungarian.
