Manchester City have reportedly won the race to sign Partizan attacker Filip Stevanovic, with the deal to go through in January.

Manchester City have reportedly won the race for Partizan attacker Filip Stevanovic, with the youngster set to arrive at the Etihad Stadium during the January transfer window.

Manchester United were strongly linked with the 18-year-old over the summer, and Partizan's vice-president Vladimir Vuletic confirmed that his club were in talks with the Red Devils.

However, according to the Manchester Evening News, City are close to finalising an agreement for the teenager, with Pep Guardiola's side expected to pay in the region of £6m for his services.

A number of clubs, including Liverpool, Chelsea and Bayern Munich, have also been credited with an interest in Stevanovic over the last 12 months.

The Serbia Under-21 international has already made 53 first-team appearances for Partizan, scoring 12 times and contributing five assists in the process.

City could allegedly allow the left-sided forward to remain with the Serbian club for the rest of the 2020-21 campaign in order to continue his development.
