Manchester United have allegedly been alerted to the potential availability of Bayern Munich defender Benjamim Pavard.
Despite some notable defeats since the arrival of Erik ten Hag, United have still won eight of their 14 matches in the Premier League this campaign.
Diogo Dalot has contributed to the improvements made by the Red Devils, the Portugal international starting all but one of those games having moved ahead of Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the pecking order.
While there is every expectation that Dalot will continue with that responsibility, United are open to allowing Wan-Bissaka move elsewhere in January.
Should the former Crystal Palace man depart Old Trafford, United would enter the market for a replacement as they bid to manage game time in four different competitions.

According to BILD, that pursuit may be aided by Pavard having recently acknowledged that he is open to departing the Allianz Arena.
The Frenchman told L'Equipe that he is "not against discovering a new project" after plying his trade in Germany since joining Stuttgart in 2016.
A further report has indicated that Bayern have no intention of selling the right-sided defender during the January transfer window.
The 26-year-old has been a regular in the Bundesliga and Champions League this campaign, making 15 starts and four substitute appearances.

Nevertheless, with his contract due to expire in 2024, there are signs that Bayern will soon be left with decisions to make regarding the player.
The report says that Pavard does not have any intention of entertaining a renewal at the dominant team in Germany, leaving open the possibility of an exit in 2023.
Since joining Bayern in 2019, Pavard has contributed to 10 pieces of silverware being won, including the Champions League during his first year at the club.
Pavard is currently at the World Cup with France, but he has not made an appearance since playing 89 minutes of the opening fixture against Australia.
