Manchester United have reportedly started negotiations with Inter Milan regarding the availability of Fredy Guarin.
The Red Devils have been linked with a move for Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal for the majority of the summer, but in recent days that speculation has died down, with the Old Lady thought to be determined to keep hold of the Chile international.
That has resulted in United manager Louis van Gaal seeking alternative options, with Guarin at the top of his list of targets, according to the Daily Star.
It is believed that Inter would demand £18m for the Colombian, which is thought to have put off the likes of Hamburg and Wolfsburg.
Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with an interest in Guarin.
