Manchester United join race to sign Porto's Alex Sandro?

A report claims that Porto defender Alex Sandro, who has been linked with an array of European clubs in the past, could be on his way to Old Trafford in the summer.

Manchester United have reportedly become the latest side to show an interest in signing Porto left-back Alex Sandro.

The 24-year-old is expected to leave the Portuguese club this summer, with Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid and Manchester City all said to be keen on landing the talented defender.

A report carried by Italian website TuttomercatoWeb claims that Sandro, who is confident at not only defending but also starting attacks from the back, could be on his way to Old Trafford at the end of the campaign.

Porto teammate Danilo completed his move to Real Madrid on Tuesday evening, which may have an impact on the Dragons' decision to allow another of their star performers to leave the club.

Six-time capped Brazilian international Sandro has made 29 appearances in all competitions this season.
