Manchester United are reportedly prepared to offer a lucrative contract to Bayern Munich defender David Alaba.
After almost a decade at the Allianz Arena, Alaba is likely to take on a new challenge when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The Austria international is not short of admirers with Manchester City, Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid having all been linked with the 28-year-old.
According to The Mirror, United have emerged as one of the frontrunners as they begin to plan for the next campaign.
The report suggests that the Premier League giants want to secure a pre-contract agreement with Alaba as soon as possible in January.
Contact is said to have already been made with the player's representatives ahead of formal discussions next month.
