Leicester City have reportedly told Manchester United that they want a higher transfer fee up front for England international Harry Maguire.
The 26-year-old continues to be linked with a move to Old Trafford as United have seemingly identified the former Sheffield United youngster as the player to improve their defence.
Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly called on the club's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to secure a deal for the centre-back as soon as possible.
According to the Daily Mail, United have offered £72m with additional bonus payments which would be paid if the club secured qualification for the Champions League.
However, the report claims that Leicester want a higher transfer fee up front as they are not convinced that the 20-time English champions will secure a return to Europe's elite league.
Maguire has been involved in his team's preparations for the new campaign, having only signed a new five-year contract at the King Power Stadium in the latter stages of 2018.
