Manchester United have reportedly held talks with Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard over a potential move to Old Trafford in this summer's transfer window.
The 27-year-old joined the Bavarians from Stuttgart in the summer of 2019 and has featured 152 times for the German giants, scoring 11 times and helping the club to three Bundesliga titles.
Having lifted the World Cup with France in 2018, Pavard is also a proven winner on the international stage, appearing 48 times for his country since making his debut in November 2017.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United have held initial talks with Pavard as they signal their intentions of luring the right-back away from Germany in the summer.
The report adds that although Erik ten Hag's side are keen on securing a striker and central midfielder in the upcoming window, the club's desire to bring in a full-back is also strong, with the Bayern Munich man on a list of transfer targets.
Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka have fought for the right-back spot at United this season, however it seems the Red Devils are searching for a different option in that position ahead of the next campaign.
