Amad Diallo says that he wants to stay at Manchester United 'all his life', with the attacker bidding to be a key player for the Red Devils in 2024-25.

Amad Diallo has said that he wants to stay at Manchester United 'all his life', with the attacker expected to be a key part of Erik ten Hag's side during the 2024-25 campaign.

The 22-year-old was a regular for Man United in the latter stages of last season, featuring in their final seven Premier League matches, and he has impressed during pre-season thus far.

Amad was on the scoresheet against Rangers in the team's second match of the summer, and he was also named in the XI against Arsenal on Saturday night.

Ten Hag recently said that he is expecting big things from Amad in the coming campaign, and the Ivory Coast international is targeting a long career with the 20-time English champions.

"I'm very happy here. I think everyone is happy with me because I smile with everyone. So good energy, why not stay here all my life?" Amad told reporters on Tuesday.

The forward missed the first half of last season with a knee injury that he suffered during the team's preparations for the 2023-24 campaign, but he is now aiming to move on from the disappointment.

"It was not easy for me to get that injury in pre-season last season. I was out for a long time, but the most important thing was to come back stronger and to help the team," said the forward.

"I think at the end I was happy with my contribution and I forgot the past. And now I am thinking about the present.

"I'm so motivated to start the season. I'm so excited. Yeah, I believe in the manager. Last season I know I didn't play a lot, but I think this season is going to be a good season for everyone and I'm so motivated to start the season.

"Everyone wants to play. That's why in the training you need to put everything, you need to fight to start in the XI. So yeah, everyone wants to play.

"We have a good team, we have good players: Antony, [Jadon] Sancho, [Marcus] Rashford, [Alejandro] Garnacho. Everyone is a good player. It's the manager who can decide who will go on the pitch and who will go on the bench.

"But the most important thing, when you don't play, you need to be ready because you never know. You can decide the game when you are on the bench. So yeah, everyone is important in the team.

"My first position was number 10. When I was in Atalanta, I was number 10 and after that they put me on right winger. But yeah I can play number 10, I can play right winger. I can play left winger. So I can play everywhere in the forward [line]. And yeah, I'm ready to play every single position in the forward [line].

"The manager believes in young players. You bring Garnacho in two years ago. They give him a lot of game time and he brings Kobbie [Mainoo] in last season.

"He gave him game time and this season I think he brings other players, young academy players and I think the manager believes a lot in young players and this is the most important thing and I hope this season he is going to give me a lot of game time. But it's up to me to prove myself in training and to say I'm ready to start now with the team."

Amad, who arrived at Old Trafford from Atalanta BC in January 2021, has scored three times and registered two assists in 21 appearances for Man United in all competitions, and he could again be in the XI when the Red Devils tackle Real Betis in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday night.
