Manchester United have reportedly opened talks with RB Leipzig attacker Christopher Nkunku, who is admired by Ralf Rangnick.
Erik ten Hag has started his role at Old Trafford, having watched the side on the final day of the Premier League season last weekend, and Nkunku has been heavily linked to Man United, potentially being the first signing in the Dutchman's reign.
The 24-year-old has just enjoyed his best campaign in front of goal, netting 35 goals in 51 appearances for Leipzig across all competitions, including 20 assists also.
Reporter Florian Plettenberg states that the Red Devils have engaged in talks with Nkunku and his representatives, after former interim boss Rangnick expressed his interest in signing the forward.
The French international's contract at the Red Bull Arena runs until 2024, but different reports suggest that the Bundesliga outfit want to tie him down to a new contract, suggesting that Man United will have some negotiating to do to complete the purchase.
Nkunku joined Leipzig from Paris Saint-Germain in 2019, and has gone on to register 47 goals and as many assists in 135 appearances for the club.
