Manchester United have reportedly received an approach from Galatasaray for midfielder Casemiro.
Up until last weekend, the Brazil international had started the campaign in stronger fashion than he had finished 2023-24.
However, that perception has quickly turned after the 32-year-old was to blame for Liverpool's first two goals in a 3-0 defeat at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Casemiro was replaced by academy graduate Toby Collyer at half time, while Manuel Ugarte was watching on from the stands with the Uruguay international expected to dislodge his fellow South American from the engine room after the international break.
With the majority of transfer windows, including the Saudi Pro League, having now closed, the expectation remains that the former Real Madrid star will stay at Old Trafford until at least January.
Nevertheless, according to journalist Ali Naci Kucuk, who was commenting on X, United have been presented with a proposal to allow one of their biggest earners to leave the club.

Galatasaray ready to push for Casemiro
Galatasaray have allegedly made contact with United regarding a potential loan deal, presumably for the season, for Casemiro.
The Turkish champions have just finalised a similar arrangement for Napoli forward Victor Osimhen after he failed to secured a move to either Chelsea or Al-Ahli.
Okan Buruk is said to be keen to add another midfielder to his squad with a number of candidates having seemingly been approached.
An effort has reportedly been made for Juventus man Weston McKennie, despite the United States international penning a new contract within the last two weeks.
There is no indication as to who Galatasaray are favourites to sign, yet offers are seemingly being put on the table with their market still open for another week.

How may Man United react?
United's current midfield contingent is Kobbie Mainoo, Ugarte, Casemiro, Collyer and Christian Eriksen, arguably in that order.
Sporting director Dan Ashworth and head coach Erik ten Hag are likely to be against allowing Casemiro leave the club at this stage of the season.
Much may depend whether United are interested in signing one of the many free agents that are available, there being scope for replacing Casemiro and making financial cutbacks.
