Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly turns down the opportunity to sign Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly has no interest in signing Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale this summer.

The Norwegian is expected to make widespread changes to his first-team squad after a sixth-place finish in the Premier League.

Bale has frequently been linked with a switch to Old Trafford, a consequence of Zinedine Zidane not wanting to keep the Wales international at the Bernabeu.

The Spanish giants are struggling to get the 29-year-old off their books, however, despite allegedly offering the player out to a number of European clubs.

According to ESPN, United have been contacted over whether they are keen on Bale, which has resulted in Solskjaer indicating that he does not want to entertain any discussions.

The reports adds that the United manager is focused on signing younger players ahead of the next campaign.
