Manchester United scouts reportedly travelled to Naples this week to watch Napoli striker Victor Osimhen ahead of a potential move to Old Trafford in this summer's transfer window.
The 24-year-old has been a regular fixture in a Napoli side who look set to win their first Serie A title since the 1989-90 campaign, with Luciano Spalletti's men 14 points ahead of second-placed Lazio in the league standings.
Having netted 21 goals in just 24 league appearances, the Nigerian has attracted attention from around Europe, with the Red Devils one of the clubs keeping tabs on the player.
According to the Daily Star, Manchester United scouts flew out to Naples on Tuesday to watch Osimhen in the Partenopei's Champions League quarter-final clash with AC Milan - a game in which the former Lille man scored late on.
The report also adds that the Italian club have not opened talks with the forward despite intense interest from the likes of United, and that the club are not against the idea of cashing in on the player this summer.
Man United will be looking to avoid back-to-back losses on Sunday afternoon when they face Brighton & Hove Albion in their FA Cup semi-final showdown, with a clash against Manchester City awaiting the winner in the final.
