Manchester United have reportedly not given up hope of signing Paul Pogba to a new contract, with the Red Devils still in talks with the midfielder's agent Mino Raiola.
The France international's current deal at Old Trafford is due to expire next June, and Paris Saint-Germain were thought to be keen on signing him during this summer's transfer window.
Lionel Messi's arrival in Paris means that Pogba will not move to Mauricio Pochettino's side in the current window, but the French giants could potentially sign him on a free next year.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 28-year-old will stay with the 20-time English champions for the 2021-22 campaign.
Romano claims that Man United remain in contract discussions with the midfielder's agent Raiola, and the club are still hopeful of coming to an agreement over a fresh deal.
Pogba put in an impressive performance in Saturday's 5-1 win over Leeds United in the Premier League, providing four assists, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side made a strong start to their 2021-22 campaign.
