Manchester United target David Brooks 'set to stay at Bournemouth'

David Brooks, who has been linked with Manchester United, will reportedly remain with Bournemouth this summer.

David Brooks will reportedly remain with Bournemouth beyond the end of this summer's transfer window.

The Wales international has been strongly linked with a move away from the Cherries following the club's relegation to the second tier of English football.

The 23-year-old excelled during his first season in the Premier League, scoring seven times and providing five assists in 30 appearances, but he missed the majority of last term due to an ankle injury.

Manchester United have been linked with the attacker as a potential alternative to Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho, who is valued by his German club in excess of £100m.

However, according to The Sun, Bournemouth will only listen to offers in excess of £50m for Brooks, meaning that the Welshman is set to stay at the Vitality Stadium beyond the transfer deadline.

Leicester City are also believed to be admirers of the former Sheffield United youngster.
