Manchester United will reportedly contemplate allowing Donny van de Beek to leave Old Trafford during the January transfer window.

Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek may reportedly be allowed to leave Old Trafford during the January transfer window.

Despite moving to Old Trafford for £35m ahead of the 2020-21 campaign, the Netherlands international has been restricted to just four starts in the Premier League.

The 25-year-old has endured a tougher time this season, featuring for just five minutes in England's top flight, and the playmaker is known to be frustrated with life under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

According to The Mirror, United could be prepared to allow a temporary departure, like they did with Jesse Lingard for the second half of last season.

Everton are admirers of Van de Beek with sporting director Marcel Brands having acknowledged that the Toffees attempted to sign the player during the summer.

The only time that Van de Beek has completed 90 minutes in recent months was in the 1-0 defeat to West Ham United in the EFL Cup.
