Manchester United are reportedly considering a swap deal for Paris Saint-Germain's Edinson Cavani, with Angel Di Maria heading in the other direction.
Di Maria endured a tough campaign at Old Trafford after joining Louis van Gaal's side for a British record fee of £59.7m.
A host of European clubs are rumoured to be interested in the Argentine, with Barcelona linked to the former Real Madrid star.
PSG are also keen on Di Maria, according to the Daily Star, and a straight swap deal could see Cavani head the other way.
The Uruguayan striker is said to be Van Gaal's best option as he looks to strengthen up front, with Harry Kane not for sale, and Aston Villa pricing United out of a move for Christian Benteke.
Cavani has scored 34 goals for PSG in 65 league games.
