Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly determined to bring Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly to the club.
United were linked with a number of centre-backs during the recent summer transfer window, but Mourinho was ultimately left frustrated.
The Portuguese is said to be determined to improve his options in a defensive position, however, with the team already conceding 21 times in the Premier League this season.
According to the Daily Record, United's number one target is Napoli's Koulibaly, who is believed to be on the radar of the majority of the top-level teams in European football.
The 27-year-old only signed a new long-term contract with Napoli in September, however, and his current deal does not expire until the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
Last month, it was reported that Barcelona were prepared to pay £88m to sign the Senegal international.
