Manchester United reportedly fend off interest from Arsenal in tying 15-year-old midfielder Omari Forson down to a professional contract.

Manchester United have reportedly won the race to tie 15-year-old midfielder Omari Forson down to a new contract.

Forson has been touted as one of English football's brightest prospects and joined the United academy from Tottenham Hotspur last year.

The Daily Mail reports that Arsenal were interested in bringing the youngster back to North London, having identified him as a key part of their long-term transfer plans.

However, United have now reportedly convinced Forson to stay at the club and sign professional terms after he impressed for the youth teams.

The midfielder, who initially joined United's Under-15s side, has already been promoted to the Under-18s and that is understood to have played a major role in his decision to stay with United.
