Manchester United reportedly launched a £139m bid to sign Barcelona star Neymar in the summer.
The Red Devils were linked with the Brazilian in the closing weeks of the transfer window, but a deal was never struck.
According to Spanish publication Sport, the Premier League giants tabled the hefty offer and told Neymar that he would be paid £280,000 a week if he opted to move to Old Trafford.
However, the Catalan side were not interested in United's bid and Neymar's father has claimed that his son had no desire to leave Camp Nou.
"United phoned Barcelona and got the answer that Neymar has a contract and is not for sale," Neymar Snr told the newspaper.
"Everyone is calm. Neymar still has three years on his deal. We are happy. Neymar chose to play here and he is super happy in Barcelona - you can see that."
Neymar joined Barca from Santos in 2013.
