Manchester United have reportedly identified Lyon striker Moussa Dembele as a top transfer target when the window reopens.
The Red Devils have been tipped to undergo a significant squad overhaul this summer, with the likes of Jadon Sancho, Harry Kane and Erling Braut Haaland among the big-money names linked with a switch to Old Trafford.
However, executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward last week hinted that mega-money deals are unlikely to happen in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, forcing United to consider cheaper alternatives.
A new striker is still thought to be near the top of their priority list having only signed Odion Ighalo on loan during the January window, and the Manchester Evening News claims that Dembele has been earmarked as a potentially 'perfect' target.
The 23-year-old has scored 16 goals in 27 Ligue 1 appearances this season and has previous experience of British football from his time with Fulham and Celtic.
Dembele could still command a hefty fee, though, with previous reports suggesting that Lyon want £83m for the Frenchman.
