Manchester United 'in talks over £100m Paul Pogba move'

Manchester United reportedly open discussions over a possible world-record £100m move for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.

Manchester United have reportedly opened talks with Juventus over a possible £100m move for Paul Pogba.

Pogba's future has been the subject of intense speculation this summer, with the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester City all being linked with big-money moves for the midfielder.

However, Sky Sports News reports that United chief executive Ed Woodward has begun negotiations over a potential £100m deal that would see the 23-year-old become the most expensive player in football history.

Pogba was on United's books from 2009 to 2012, but made just seven senior appearances for the club before leaving on a free transfer to join Juventus.

New United manager Jose Mourinho is thought to be desperate to bring the France international back to Old Trafford, which could be helped by Pogba sharing an agent with recent United signings Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

United have also signed Eric Bailly this summer as they look to re-establish themselves as a force in the English game having missed out on the Champions League in two of the last three seasons.
