Manchester United have reportedly emerged as the leading candidates in the race to sign Southampton defender Luke Shaw.
The 18-year-old is believed to be attracting interest from a number of teams, with both Manchester City and Chelsea being linked with a move in recent months.
However, United are aiming to complete a deal for Shaw prior to this summer's World Cup as they look to rebuild their squad following a difficult campaign.
According to The Telegraph, last season's Premier League champions would be willing to pay £30m for the Saints full-back as they look for potential replacements for Patrice Evra, whose current deal expires at the end of the season.
Reports on Tuesday suggested that United were also closing in on a possible deal for William Carvalho.
