Leeds United will reportedly be given the chance to sign Daniel James from Manchester United should their rivals first land Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho.

Manchester United will reportedly allow Daniel James to leave the club should Jadon Sancho join from Borussia Dortmund over the next week.

James was left out of the Red Devils's squad for Saturday's 3-2 win over Brighton & Hove Albion amid links with a move to Leeds United.

According to The Sun, though, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will not let the Wales international leave until a new player is brought in.

Dortmund star Sancho remains United's top target with a week of the summer transfer window to go, despite BVB's insistence that he is no longer available.

Mason Greenwood is currently Solskjaer's only other recognised option in the right-sided attacking position.

Real Madrid's Gareth Bale was previously linked with a move to United, but he instead opted to rejoin former club Tottenham Hotspur on an initial loan deal.
