Manchester United to poach Luke Shaw if Leighton Baines falls through?

Manchester United will reportedly swoop for Southampton defender Luke Shaw if they fail to sign Leighton Baines from Everton.

Manchester United will reportedly launch a bid for Southampton full-back Luke Shaw if the club fail to lure Everton's Leighton Baines to Old Trafford.

The England Under-21 international has already been linked with a switch to the Premier League champions, but new manager David Moyes is said to have placed Baines as his number one transfer priority.

It is understood that if Everton stand firm on their stance to keep hold of Baines, Moyes will swoop for £10m-rated Shaw, according to the Daily Star.

Chelsea have also been reported as possible contenders for the defender's signature.
